Half term is approaching so if you're looking for things to do, you've come to the right place! October might not be the best month for outdoor fun, but there are some great events taking place if you love everything to do with Aardman, as well as some fun stuff you can do at home! Here's our round-up of what's on when...
Shaun takeover at Jungle Rumble
Calling all Bristol-based Shaun fans - Shaun's going to be at the Cabot Circus Jungle Rumble adventure golf centre on 23rd October! Try your hand at Shaun's fab new golf game, Puzzle Putt, have a pic taken with Shaun or make your own Shaun the Sheep to take home at a model-making workshop. You can also practise your golf shots on the fantatic Jungle Rumble courses.
Try your hand at making a Gromit at Rise Bookstore, Bristol
How about seeing how your Gromit-making skills shape up? Bristol's Rise Bookstore is holding workshops on Sunday 1st November to celebrate the release of the revised Cracking Animations book. You can make a Gromit (or a Shaun the Sheep) then take your handiwork home with you!
Join a storyboarding session at National Media Museum
Learn the art of storyboarding - an essential part of the animation process - with Aardman storyboard artist Jay Clarke. He'll be at the National Media Museum in Bradford on the 24th October for a creative family-friendly workshop as part of The Big Draw, the world's largest drawing festival. You can find out more and book your tickets on the National Media Museum website.
Have fun at home with our new activity packs
Have you seen the cool new stuff on our resources page? Learn how to draw Gromit with our new Nick Park tutorials or have fun in the kitchen making some sweet or cheesy treats. Spot the difference and colouring sheets are also featured, or you could get stuck into making the rocket from A Grand Day Out.
Get creative with Shaun on PopJam
Did you know that Shaun has a channel on PopJam, a fun and creative community where you can share your artworks, enjoy quizzes and puzzles, play games and follow your favourite characters? The app is free to download and is pre-moderated so it's safe for young users. Take a look at the PopJam site to read full information and FAQs.
