Since over 80 Gromit sculptures raised a staggering £2.3m at auction for Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal charity in October, Gromit fever continues to grip the world!
With the phenomenal demand for Gromit Unleashed merchandise continuing, the Grand Appeal charity have announced a new online auction which will take place on eBay next week from 11th to 18th December, offering people the chance to own exclusive and one-of-a-kind artworks donated by artists and friends of the project.
Some of the exciting items you will find at auction include:
• A one-of-a-kind Gromit figurine illustrated by Aardman’s Nick Park and Gavin Strange
• Nick Park’s signed original designs from his giant Gromit Newshound sculpture.
• Original artworks by internationally renowned authors and illustrators Mick Inkpen and Shirley Hughes, hugely popular illustrator Rob Ryan
• A Roger Rabbit original by acclaimed animator Richard Williams
• A bespoke Trunki suitcase hand-painted by Gromit Unleashed artist Carys Tait in the style of ‘Grrrromit’
• A giant wooden chainsaw-carved Gromit that was displayed at Westonbirt Arboretum over the summer
• A selection of individual Gromit Unleashed figurines signed by their artists
• A complete set of current Gromti Unleashed figurines, including the yet-to-be-released ‘Vincent Van Gromit’ !
Some of the auction lots will be unveiled at the Gromit Unleashed shop on Friday (6th December) for people to view before they go online, as the latest batch of Gromit figurines are released on sale.
