To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Wallace & Gromit, the Intellectual Propery Office (IPO) is bringing back its brilliant Cracking Ideas competition for 2019! Open to children aged 4-11, the competition is a great way for you to have fun inventing with your school, holiday club or youth group. AND there's a great prize up for grabs!
The competition runs until April next year and the challenge is to look at every day objects and improve them. Taking inspiration from master inventor Wallace and his helpful companion Gromit, can you work on your own, with a friend or in a group to come up with a game-changing invention? With the help of a range of fun activities that tie in with national curriculum learning objectives, Cracking Ideas challenges you to get your thinking caps on to design a new product while finding out how to trademark and protect your brilliant idea.
When you've completed the challenge, you can send in your entries to win a can't-be-bought prize: an animation workshop for your school or group, a goody bag AND the chance to see your invention feature in the next Wallace and Gromit production!
