I can't wait! The BBC should show every W&G film in order this christmas and leave this one until last on Christmas Day! Does anyone agree with me?![]()
![]()
![]()
sounds good to me![]()
Sounds good indeed!![]()
Gags and Haaaaa et al! WELCOME!!!!
I'm confident that, come Christmas 2008, the BBC will BIG UP W&G in the run up to Trouble At 'Mill!!!!!
Hopefully, like A Close Shave, the DVD will hit the shops after Boxing Day/St Stephen's Day!!!!
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
Bring it on!
Let us hope that the DVD is out after a few days or weeks after it is first broadcast!
What do you think?![]()
with loads of extras and a free gift!!!! ![]()
WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!![]()
i thinks its going to be cracking
brillent
Why has the name been changed from "Trouble @ Mill" to "MATTER OF LOAF AND DEATH"???????????![]()
![]()
![]()
matter of loaf and death is just a saying to go with it lol
i think
its still called trouble at mill
I looked on the internet movie databse imdb.com and it says that it is now called "A Matter of Loaf and Death!"![]()
Is there murders in it, (imdb.com says it not me) ![]()
I saw that, too, Gags! Trouble At 'Mill was/is, by the looks of things, a working title.
Working titles can either be chopped and changed secretly by the author/film maker or it sticks.
I think the title "A Matter of Loaf and Death" sounds like something from Diagnosis Murder or Miss Marple etc. ...it might help add authenticity to the intention of making the latest
&
short a real murder mystery.![]()
Maybe they're having trouble getting the rights to use "Trouble at' Mill" because there's a Lancashire and Irish Folk Song band by that name. Here's a pic of the band with a Nick Park drawing and signature:
If they change the name of the movie, I'll have to re-do my DVD label!!![]()
The band is really called "Trouble at'Mill"? You'd think they would love having the W&G film with the same name - good publicity...![]()
Yes, that's the name of the band. Wonder if sock-eye's heard of them since she enjoys Irish Folk Songs?
There's another band called "Trouble at t'Mill" which I think refers to the same saying but a different way of saying it. This other band is comprised of younger musicians and plays more youthful songs - I think they cater to the 16-25 crowd.
Squigly - I must see if they have anything about them on YouTube or a website of their own and investigate. That is a really COOL picture of the band with a drawing by The Almighty Nick P behind them. Thanks for the info, squigly! Nite nite, I'll have to get my head down..I've just seen the clock and it's almost 0310am UK time...there's a long night ahead tomorrow...
I'll be back, friend! Promise!
Sock Eye Salmon
could play the "bones" - two bones that are played like maracas in Irish traditional music.
We know that
plays the banjo...
...p'raps the next W&G film after "...Mill" could be of their busking in Preston City Centre!
Nighty-nite! (Or morny-morn)![]()
Just noticed at the beginning of this thread that there's a contest to win tickets to the showing of this film! Has that been there all along? I must enter!![]()
