It's over 30 years since Aardman founders Peter Lord and David Sproxton introduced Morph to the world. And now, after a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign and a busy few months developing new story ideas and putting those ideas into production, Morph is finally ready to make his return on screens. On the 4th July (or 'Morph of July', perhaps!) the first new Morph episode arrives on YouTube!

It's Morph's first outing for over 20 years (the last new Morph episode was broadcast way back in 1997) and launches the series of 15 new episodes which have been created with the help of backing from members of the public, who, through a Kickstarter campaign, have helped to fund the production of the new series.

The excitement kicks off over at Morph's official YouTube channel, with the first episode airing at 17.15 GMT on Friday 4th July. Broadcasting over the net means that fans from all over the world can catch up on the latest Morph adventures, some of which incorporate ideas suggested by Morph fans who helped to fund the project.

Peter Lord says fans can expect all of the humour and charm of the original 1970s episodes, mixed in with a few nods to modern culture and technology. The new episodes were shot using clay and traditional stop-frame animation, in Morph's original home at the Aardman studios in Bristol. Over 150 Morphs were used during the five-month production of the 15 one-minute episodes.

There's lots of look forward to on 4th July so don't forget to check into YouTube at 17.15 GMT - Morph will be waiting for you there!
