Ex-Corrie actress Sally Lindsay, who played Shelley Unwin, will soon become the new voice of Wallace's girlfriend in a TV Special of Wallace and Gromit.
Anyway, fans of Sally can listen in to the BBC Radio 4 programme A Good Read where Sally discusses her favourite author, Patrick Suskind. He wrote the book Perfume, an absolutely cracking book, as Wallace might say. You can listen to Sally's interview online right here.
Sally Lindsay, who was Shelley Unwin in Corrie, has been signed up to be the romantic lead in a new TV special for BBC1.
She'll voice the part of Piella Bakewell - love interest to animated character Wallace, of the popular Wallace and Gromit duo. It's a role that only Sally could play, as Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park explains: "I was driving along the M5 listening to a radio interview and heard this colourful and characterful voice - it was a perfect match for Wallace. I have been searching for a while and keeping my ears peeled since I started writing, wondering who might voice Wallace's love interest. When I heard Sally on the radio I knew she was the one."
